5.0 Assets

This section displays the assets in the database. The assets will be displayed 20 at a time. If more than 20 assets are present, Next and Prev (previous) links will be displayed at the top of the display as appropriate. These links may be used to navigate forward and backward through the assets. The number of assets and the current assets displayed is indicated in the upper center of the display. The display may be sorted by any of the columns by clicking on the Up and Down arrows at the top of each column to sort on that column in the desired order.

Important: Sorting is performed on all of the assets, not just the ones currently displayed.

5.1 Assets Option Bar

The assets option bar allows the user to search for a particular asset by simply selecting the type of identifier to look for and a value. (Example: License Plate Number = CDL 2345, click on the 'Find Asset' button and if the information entered is valid, all reports pertaining to the asset will be displayed.).

Note: The string being searched for must be an exact match to what is in the database.

Click on the 'Show All' button to display all the assets in the system at once.

Once the identifier option has been selected and a value has been entered in the text box, click on the Find Asset button to perform the search and display the results.

Note: The identifier value is case sensitive, so make sure the identifier value is correct if no results display.

5.2 Report Number Line with Next / Prev Navigation Links

This line shows the starting asset row and ending asset row currently being displayed, along with the total number of assets available for display. To navigate through the assets use the Next and Prev (previous) navigation links to display other rows of assets.

5.3 Column Description

Fields which represent specific columns in the assets report. The columns consist of Asset No., Mileage, Manufacturer, VIN Number, In Service Date and Status

5.4 Sorting

Columns may be sorted by clicking on either the up arrow or down arrow in the column. The up arrow sorts in ascending (increasing) order while the down arrow sorts in descending (decreasing) order. Columns which sorting does not apply will not have these arrows.

Important: Sorting is performed on all of the assets, not just the ones currently being displayed.

5.5 Asset Filtering

In order to filter on a specific asset, click on the desired asset number in the 'Asset No.' column. All reports pertaining to that asset will be displayed.

5.6 Individual Asset Report

The individual asset report section is accessed by clicking on an asset number in the 'Asset No.' column. This section functions the same way as the options provided in the Inspections section. Sorting, Next / Prev navigation links, column description and driver filtering all function in the same manner. Click on the link provided below to go over the individual form components and find out how they are used and the functionality that is provided.

5.7 Asset Info

You can access the Asset Info window without leaving the current window by clicking on the Asset Info button().
The Asset Info window gives you detailed information about the selected asset without having to leave the Assets section.

5.8 Asset Reports

Click on the 'Assets' link to generate specific reports pertaining to assets. The various reports are 'Asset Expiry', 'Asset Statistics', 'Engine Hours', 'GPS Units', 'JBus 1708/1939', 'Mileage Report', 'Missing Inspections', 'Open Defects', 'Repairs', and 'Tracking'.

5.8.2 Asset Statistics

Click on the 'Asset Statistics' link and the form above will be displayed. The ability to generate a statistics report for all assets or an individual asset is done through this interface.
Note: Statistics are updated daily, the update time is displayed just below the date range selection. When using the date ranges, the report will be generated from the real-time results in the database, so the precompiled results will not be used. Reports for databases with large numbers of assets may take an extended amount of time to build.

Click on the 'Fleet Statistics' link in the Inspections sub-menu. The Fleet Inspection Statistics are displayed upon entering the reports section.

5.8.3 Engine Hours

Click on the 'Engine Hours' link. Use the filter options at the top to set your view for the report then click refresh.

5.8.4 GPS Units

Clicking on the 'GPS Unit' link to generate the report.

5.12 Odometer Report

Summary

The Odometer Report tracks the asset's odometer readings, and to input offset values to match the GPS miles to the vehicle's odometer.

The Odometer Offsets Admin will display existing offsets and allow the user to add, delete or edit offsets. Once the vehicle's odometer is imputed into the Odometer Offset Admin, the GPS or V2J will start adding the traveled miles to the offset value. The value listed within the Odometer report will reflect what the assets' actual odometer is.

Select an asset or all assets and press "Apply" to view the asset(s) odometer value. Please note the date and time column is the last time the GPS or V2J updated the mileage, i.e. last power off event.

5.13 Asset Repair

Summary

Repair Time Report allows users to track the repair times for defects, and gives average repair times for defects with the same component and zone.

Asset Number column provides the asset number identifier that reported the defect
Zone column will display the zone the defect was found in.
Component column provides component issue information.
Condition column will state the problem of the component.
Status column will display what type of defect it is. is critical defect and is a non-critical defect.
Certifier column will report the Accepting Inspector for that specific defect.
Technician column will provide the name of the technician who repaired the defect.
Repair Date column is the date the repair occurred on.
Store Time to Repair Time column displays the time delta from when the driver or operator certifies the EVIR inspection to the time the mechanic noted the repair was corrected in GTC.
Repair Time column will provide the the length of time it took the mechanic to fix the defect. This time is entered in the "Open Defect Report".
Average Repair column will display the average amount of time it takes your mechanics to fix that specific component.
Difference vs. Average column will provide the average repair time minus this specific repair time.

5.12 Odometer Report
