3.0 Menu Bar
Options
The following sections describe the menu bar options of
ZTIP.
3.1 File
The majority of functionality of
ZTIP is accessed
through this menu bar option. The following subsections describe the
functionality of each individual File menu option.
3.1.0 Configuration

- Customer:
- Your customer ID. Same as the one that is used when
logging into the Zonar-Web system.
- Upload Password:
- This is the Upload password that has been issued.
There is one Upload password per customer.
- Location:
- Location of where the download is occurring from.
Example (Seattle office, Everett office, etc).
- History List Size:
- The size of the list that is used to store historical
data.
- Post-scan Delay:
- The amount of time in seconds that must elapse before
another driver ID card may be read.
- Beep on Scan
- Enables a beep to be sounded when a driver ID card
has been read. Note: You must have speakers connected and setup
correctly in order to hear the sound.
- Post-scan sound file:
- Allows the selection of a sound file on the computer
system to be played when the post-scan delay time has elapsed and another
driver ID card may be read. A default sound will be played upon the post-scan
time elapsing. Click on the '...' button to navigate to a sound file on
the computer system. Click on the 'Play' button to listen to the sound
file. Note: You must have speakers connected and setup correctly in
order to hear the sound.
- No Server PING
- Does not perform a server ping which is used for
communication verification with the Zonar-Web server.
If ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) ping
packets are being blocked on your network, this option must be enabled in
order to upload the inspection reports.
- Load at Windows Start
- If checked, this option will start the ZTIP
application when a user logs into the computer. If this option is not checked
the application will have to be manually started by using the desktop icon.
Important: If the current user is not an
Administrative or Power User the user will not have the necessary WRITE/MODIFY
access needed to setup this option. So even if the checkbox is checked, the
setting will not be saved and the application will not start at login time.
- Store Config
- Click on this button to store the currently
configured settings.
- Cancel
- Click on this button to cancel making no changes and
close the configuration dialog.
3.1.1 Perform Test Upload
Use this option to perform a test upload to confirm
communication between ZTIP and the Zonar-Web. If the test report uploads
successfully, 'Test Successful.' is displayed in bold green letters in the
main display. If communication is not
established a message 'TEST: Invalid Error Code (-1).' will be displayed in the
main display. Verify configuration information is correct and an internet
connection is established.

3.1.2 Send Debug Information to Zonar
If problems arise, this option allows
information pertaining to your ZTIP configuration and errors that may be
occurring to be sent via email to Zonar Systems for analysis to help resolve the
issue.
3.1.3 Exit
Exits the ZTIP application.
3.2 Window
The ZTIP dialog window itself may be stretched vertically to increase size.
If the default size of ZTIP is desired after modifications have taken place,
click on the 'Default Size' menu item.
3.3 Help

Help has a submenu item 'About'. About is provided to assist the user in identifying the
Software Version and Firmware Version of the ZTIP application. This information is also useful
to help assist in troubleshooting, since the problem may already be corrected on
a newer version of software and an update is necessary.
- Software Version: version of the ZTIP
application.
- Update SW (Software)
- Click on this button to update the ZTIP
application.
- Note:
In order for the Update SW option to function
correctly, the user must have unlimited user rights, such as an Admin user,
the updates write to Program Files\ZTIP which a restricted user cannot do,
also you must be connected to the Internet.
